Senegal defender Aboubacar Lô joins Stade Lavallois from Amiens
Senegalese defender Aboubacar Lô has completed a permanent move to Stade Lavallois, ending his spell with Amiens SC and securing his future in Ligue 2 with a long-term contract.
The central defender has signed a three-year agreement with the Mayenne-based club that will keep him at Laval until June 2029, as the club continues preparations for the 2026-27 campaign.
Lô arrives after a season with Amiens, where he joined on a free transfer in the summer of 2025. During his time with the Picardy side, the Senegalese defender established himself as a regular member of the squad, making 27 appearances in all competitions.
Of those appearances, 25 came in Ligue 2, while he also contributed one goal during the season.
The move marks another chapter in the career of the former Génération Foot player, who continues his development in French football after previous spells with FC Metz and Amiens.
Stade Lavallois have been active in strengthening their squad ahead of the new season as they prepare for a fifth consecutive campaign in Ligue 2.
The arrival of Lô adds further experience and depth to the club’s defensive options before players return for pre-season preparations.
The Senegalese centre-back leaves Amiens after one season, having gained valuable playing time and experience in the French second tier.
His performances during the last campaign helped establish his reputation as a dependable defender capable of competing consistently at Ligue 2 level.
For Laval, the signing represents part of the club’s efforts to reinforce key areas of the squad before the start of the new season. The club is continuing to shape its roster as it looks to be competitive in another demanding Ligue 2 campaign.
Lô now begins a new challenge in Mayenne, where he will seek to build on the progress made during his previous seasons in France and contribute to Stade Lavallois’ ambitions in the years ahead.
