World Cup 2026: Algeria have confirmed that Mohamed Amine Amoura remains unavailable for full team training as the forward continues a specific programme under the supervision of the medical staff.

The Algerian national team held another training session on Wednesday afternoon at Rock Chalk Park, located at the University of Kansas, as preparations continued for their final group-stage match of the tournament.

The session began at 18:00 and focused mainly on technical and tactical exercises, with the coaching staff working on adjustments ahead of the important meeting with Austria.

The Greens enter the match with confidence after securing a 2-1 victory over Jordan in their previous game. Algeria are now concentrating on achieving another positive result that would help them secure qualification for the next round of the competition.

According to the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), the full squad participated in the training session apart from Amoura, who continued his individual indoor work as part of his recovery programme.

The federation’s update has provided clarity on the player’s current situation as Algeria prepare for a crucial final group fixture.

The coaching staff are continuing their preparations with the available players as they look to maintain momentum following the win over Jordan. The team’s focus is now firmly on Austria, with the match expected to play an important role in determining their progress in the tournament.

Algeria will face Austria on Saturday, June 27 at 21:00 local time at Kansas City Stadium. The fixture will take place on Sunday, June 28 at 03:00 Algerian time.
