PSG weighing next move as Ayyoub Bouaddi’s stock soars

Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up whether to intensify their pursuit of Morocco sensation Ayyoub Bouaddi as the teenager’s value continues to soar following another eye-catching display on the World Cup stage.

The 18-year-old midfielder has emerged as one of the tournament’s standout young performers and further enhanced his growing reputation during Morocco’s 1-1 draw against Brazil. His composed and mature performance against one of football’s traditional powerhouses only strengthened the belief among Europe’s elite that he is destined for the very top.

With Morocco preparing to face Scotland on Friday, Bouaddi is set to attract even greater attention from scouts and decision-makers monitoring his development. Lille, meanwhile, are bracing themselves for what could become one of the most fiercely contested transfer battles of the summer.

PSG monitoring situation closely

French champions PSG have tracked Bouaddi for some time and remain strongly interested in bringing him to the Parc des Princes. However, the Parisian club are now assessing whether they can afford to remain patient as competition for the midfielder intensifies across Europe.

The teenager’s performances over the past year have transformed him from a highly regarded prospect into one of the most coveted young players in the game. His display against Brazil showcased the technical quality, intelligence and composure that have made him a priority target for several leading clubs.

PSG’s interest is particularly notable given their strategy of securing the best young talent emerging from French football. Yet they are far from alone in the chase.

Premier League giants enter the frame

Arsenal are among the clubs keeping a particularly close watch on Bouaddi’s progress. Sources indicate the Premier League side are huge admirers of the midfielder’s ability and his remarkable development at such a young age.

Liverpool are also understood to be monitoring the situation as the race for his signature gathers momentum.

Throughout last season, scouts from some of Europe’s biggest clubs were regular visitors to Lille matches, reflecting the widespread belief that Bouaddi possesses the qualities required to become a future star at the highest level.

Lille attempted to strengthen their position by securing the midfielder to a new contract, a move designed to provide protection against mounting interest while preserving their bargaining power in any future negotiations.

Lille set £60m valuation

Despite that contract extension, a summer exit remains a realistic possibility if a club meets Lille’s demands.

The French side are believed to value Bouaddi at around £60 million, a figure that reflects both his current ability and enormous long-term potential. That valuation could rise even further should additional clubs enter the race in the coming weeks.

For now, PSG continue to consider their next move. While they would ideally be willing to wait another year before making their play, Bouaddi’s growing influence at the World Cup may force their hand.

With Arsenal, Liverpool and several other European heavyweights circling, the Morocco international’s future is rapidly becoming one of the defining transfer stories of the summer.
