Newcastle eye €40m Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Touré in summer move

Ivory Coast left winger Bazoumana Touré of Hoffenheim is being linked with a summer switch to Newcastle United, with the Premier League club reportedly weighing up a move for the 20-year-old.

Touré, born in Bouaké on 2 March 2006 and valued at €40.00m on Transfermarkt, has emerged as one of the Bundesliga side’s most highly rated attacking prospects. The left-footed winger, who stands at 1.78m and wears the No 29 shirt for Hoffenheim, is listed as having no confirmed contract expiry date, a situation that has fuelled talk he could be available either below market value or, in an extreme scenario, run down his deal and leave as a free agent in a future window.

Data from 14 June 2026 suggests there is a 51% probability of a move from Hoffenheim to Newcastle, indicating that the deal is considered possible but far from certain at this stage. Touré’s performances in the Bundesliga have drawn increasing attention, with his pace and direct dribbling from the left flank seen as a good stylistic fit for the Premier League.

Recent form has only intensified speculation. In Hoffenheim’s latest outing – a Bundesliga fixture earlier this month in which they faced domestic opposition (full match data has not been formally published) – Touré again featured on the left wing, underlining his status as a regular attacking option for the German club.

A product of Ivorian football who moved into the German system at a young age, Touré has been deployed almost exclusively as an attacking left winger, though his profile also allows him to operate across the forward line. With Newcastle continuing to reshape their squad, any move for the Ivorian would be viewed as a long-term investment in a player whose next decision could define his career trajectory and reputation at the highest level if the transfer does go through.
