Augustin Ahouanvoébla has been elected president of the Benin Football Federation (FBF) after winning the election in Cotonou. Leading the “Football Renewal” list, Ahouanvoébla secured 23 votes, surpassing his challenger Bruno Dadavi by a margin of two votes. Two ballots were deemed invalid. This election comes after a previous one in August, where Ahouanvoébla won but was invalidated by FIFA due to a challenge from his opponent. Ahouanvoébla now succeeds Anjorin Moucharafou as the president of the Beninese football body, marking a new era for football in Benin.
