Bradley Barcola pushes to leave PSG as Europe’s giants circle

Bradley Barcola looks set to be one of the big stories of the summer window, with the French international reportedly asking to leave PSG in search of a bigger role.

At 23, the forward is struggling for guaranteed starts in Paris, where strong competition from the likes of Désiré Doué and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia limits his status as an undisputed starter.

Fresh from a second consecutive Champions League title, PSG have cemented their status as Europe’s top side and now face a delicate squad-balancing act. Luis Enrique wants the right reinforcements, while football advisor Luis Campos must also manage the growing list of players exploring exits.

Barcola is emerging as one of the main candidates to move on. According to Teamtalk, he has already informed the club of his desire to leave, and interest across Europe is intense. In England, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all keen, while Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Inter Milan and Napoli have reportedly held talks with his camp.

Liverpool may hold a slight advantage. As previously revealed, the Reds see Barcola as a serious option to replace Mohamed Salah and could offer him a starting role at Anfield. However, RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande is also on their shortlist, keeping the race wide open for Barcola’s signature.
