PSG target Maghnes Akliouche sets post World Cup timeline

Maghnes Akliouche has confirmed he plans to leave AS Monaco this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain closely monitoring his situation after several standout displays against them.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder, a Monaco academy product, has grown into one of Ligue 1’s most exciting talents despite a more uneven season overall. Over the months he raised his level, delivering XXL performances versus PSG in both the Champions League and the league, which only strengthened interest from the French champions. His valuation is estimated at around 50 million euros.

Under contract with Monaco until June 2028, Akliouche has nonetheless made it clear he intends to move on in the next transfer window. Speaking to Nice-Matin, he expressed his desire to take a new step in his career without explicitly naming PSG. For now, the France international is fully focused on the upcoming World Cup with Les Bleus and does not want transfer talk to distract from the tournament.

The plan is simple: discussions over his future will accelerate once the World Cup is over, with Akliouche ready to listen to offers at that point. PSG have long tracked his progress and see him as a high-upside creative option for their attacking midfield and wide roles. With his departure from Monaco now publicly acknowledged, the capital club could move more decisively after the tournament if they choose to make him a priority signing.
