Bayern Munich make first offer for Ismail Saibari

Bayern Munich have intensified their pursuit of Moroccan midfielder Ismail Saibari after submitting an opening offer worth €50 million, including bonuses, for the PSV Eindhoven star.

The German champions’ proposal consists of a fixed fee of €45 million plus an additional €5 million in performance-related bonuses. While the offer underlines the Bundesliga giants’ strong interest in the Moroccan international, it has yet to meet PSV Eindhoven’s valuation of one of their most prized assets.

The Dutch club is reportedly demanding at least €50 million as a guaranteed fee before considering any deal for the 25-year-old. PSV officials are understood to be under little pressure to sell, particularly after Saibari’s outstanding performances helped the club enjoy another successful campaign.

Saibari is coming off the best season of his professional career, establishing himself as one of the Eredivisie’s most influential players. The attacking midfielder scored 19 goals and registered nine assists in 37 appearances across all competitions, playing a pivotal role in PSV’s domestic success.

His remarkable form was recognised at the end of the season when he was named Eredivisie Player of the Year, a prestigious honour that further enhanced his growing reputation across Europe.

Bayern have been tracking Saibari’s progress for several months and appear determined to bring him to the Allianz Arena as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. The Bavarian club views the Moroccan as a versatile attacking option capable of operating in midfield and advanced positions.

As per sources, Bayern have already made significant progress on personal terms, with the player said to have agreed in principle to a long-term contract running until 2030. As a result, discussions are now focused primarily on reaching an agreement with PSV over the transfer fee.

Speculation surrounding the transfer has intensified in recent days, with some reports claiming arrangements were being explored for Saibari to undergo a medical examination in the United States to accelerate the completion of the move. However, negotiations between the clubs remain ongoing and no final agreement has yet been reached.

Despite the gap between Bayern’s current offer and PSV’s asking price, there remains optimism that a compromise can be found. With the summer transfer window gathering momentum and Bayern eager to finalise key additions, talks are expected to continue in the coming days.

Should the move materialise, it would represent a major step in Saibari’s career and further underline his rise as one of Morocco’s brightest football talents. A transfer to Bayern would also provide the midfielder with the opportunity to compete regularly in the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League while continuing his development at one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

For now, PSV remain firm in their stance, but Bayern’s determination and the player’s apparent willingness to make the move suggest that negotiations are far from over.
