Raja Club Athletic and Fadlu Davids on the brink of mutual exit as compensation talks continue

Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic are edging closer to a parting of ways with head coach Raja Club Athletic due to a disappointing run of results, with discussions over a mutual termination of his contract with Fadlu Davids still unresolved due to financial terms.

Negotiations held on Tuesday failed to produce a final agreement, with compensation emerging as the main stumbling block in the process.

Both parties are understood to have made progress on the principle of a separation, but have yet to settle on the final exit package.

Sources indicate that Raja are prepared to pay in the region of $215,000 to bring the coach’s tenure to an end.

However, discussions remain active as representatives attempt to narrow the gap and reach a mutually acceptable figure.

A further round of talks is expected in the coming hours, with optimism that a resolution could be reached soon. While no formal documents have been signed, the situation is increasingly viewed as a matter of time rather than uncertainty.

Davids, who previously coached Tanzanian side Simba SC before his move to Morocco, is widely expected to exit once the financial terms are finalised, bringing a brief and turbulent spell at the club to a close.

All indications suggest both sides are now working toward an amicable settlement, with the final confirmation of his departure likely to follow swiftly once compensation details are agreed.
