Roma eye Real Madrid’s Morocco‑Spain winger Brahim Díaz in €35m move

Roma are being linked with a summer swoop for Morocco‑Spain right winger Brahim Díaz from Real Madrid, with the 26‑year‑old’s future at the Bernabéu increasingly under scrutiny.

The Serie A club are monitoring Díaz’s situation in Spain, where details of his current deal are unclear and no firm indication has been given that Real intend to tie him down long term. Transfermarkt lists his market value at €35.00m, a figure likely to frame any negotiations, although the probability of a move is currently rated only as “?” in rumour listings.

Díaz, who wears the number 21 shirt for Real Madrid and stands at 1.70m, operates mainly as an attacking right winger but is comfortable across the forward line and can use both feet. Born in Málaga on 3 August 1999, he holds both Moroccan and Spanish nationality.

The forward remains part of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad and featured recently in LaLiga, impressing in Real’s last outing before the latest international window – a league meeting against domestic opposition in early May, when Madrid recorded a comprehensive home win and Díaz was involved throughout, contributing with his movement and link‑up play from the right flank.

While there is no suggestion yet that his contract has expired, the lack of publicly available expiry information has inevitably sparked talk that he could either run down his deal or, in a longer‑term scenario, move towards free‑agent status if no extension is agreed. That possibility is thought to have encouraged Roma, who are seeking creativity and versatility in the final third.

With his dual nationality, top‑level experience at Real Madrid and a significant market valuation, any switch to Rome would represent a major step in Díaz’s career and could redefine his reputation as he looks to turn sporadic Madrid opportunities into a leading role in Serie A.
