Firas Ben Larbi: Khor Fakkan eye move for Tunisia playmaker from Sharjah FC

Tunisia attacking midfielder Firas Ben Larbi is being linked with a switch from Sharjah FC to UAE Pro League rivals Khor Fakkan.

The 30-year-old, who operates primarily as an attacking midfielder and wears the No.10 shirt for Sharjah, is the subject of fresh speculation within the Emirates, with the move currently rated as uncertain – the reported probability is listed only as “?”. Both clubs compete in the UAE Pro League, increasing the likelihood of informal contact over a deal.

Ben Larbi’s contractual situation at Sharjah is unclear, with no expiry date publicly disclosed. That has fuelled talk that he could yet run down his terms and explore a free agent exit if no agreement is reached, a scenario that would significantly alter any fee Khor Fakkan might have to pay. His current market value is put at €3.50m.

The left-footed midfielder, born on 27 May 1996 and listed at 1.71m tall, has become a familiar figure in the league, with his creativity between the lines and eye for goal making him an attractive target for mid-table sides looking for proven top-flight experience. He is a full Tunisia international and has spent recent seasons as one of Sharjah’s main attacking outlets.

Recent performances have kept him in the shop window, with Ben Larbi featuring for Sharjah in the closing weeks of the 2025-26 UAE Pro League campaign, including their early-June fixtures, as scouts continued to track his form. Detailed terms of any proposal from Khor Fakkan have not been made public, and there is no indication yet of formal negotiations between the clubs.

Should a deal materialise, the move would offer Ben Larbi a fresh platform in the Emirates at a pivotal stage of his career, potentially reshaping his reputation in the league and determining his next major contract.
