Shikabala, the Egyptian midfielder on loan from Zamalek to Al Wasl, attended a concert by the famous Egyptian singer Tamer Hosni 48 hours before Al Wasl’s humiliating defeat against Al Ain (5-0). The club did not appreciate his actions, and coach Hamid Youssef mentioned that they were informed about it via Twitter. The football committee was expected to discuss the matter with Shikabala, and if deemed necessary, a sanction would be imposed according to the club’s regulations. Shikabala, aged 26, was selected by Egyptian coach Bob Bradley for the match against Georgia on November 14.
