Upon arrival in the capital, Motsepe was warmly received by FECAFOOT President Samuel Eto’o, in a brief but symbolic welcome ceremony that underscored the growing collaboration between the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and national associations across the continent.
The visit comes as CAF continues to strengthen its institutional presence and support for member associations, with the new FECAFOOT headquarters seen as a major step in modernising football governance in Cameroon.
The meeting between Motsepe and Eto’o also highlighted the strong working relationship between continental leadership and one of Africa’s most prominent football figures, with both men expected to take part in the inauguration proceedings.
For Cameroonian football, the event carries significant symbolic weight, representing not only infrastructural progress but also renewed ambition within the country’s football administration.
The inauguration is expected to draw key stakeholders from across African football, reinforcing Yaoundé’s status as a central hub in the continent’s sporting leadership.
