Stéphane Sessegnon made a successful debut for West Bromwich Albion against his former team, Sunderland, on Saturday. The Beninese player, who secured his work permit just days before, scored in the 20th minute of the match. West Bromwich went on to win 3-0, with goals from Ridgewell and Amalfitano adding to Sessegnon’s early contribution. The victory pushed Sunderland further down the table. Sessegnon had joined West Bromwich Albion in the summer.
