Olympique de Marseille is currently facing a slowdown, having not recorded a victory in their last three matches. This coincides with a decrease in form for Matthieu Valbuena, a key player for both Marseille and the French national team. Jacques Alaixys Romao, the Togolese international playing for Marseille, attributed Valbuena’s dip in form to fatigue, considering his regular involvement in both domestic and international competitions.
Romao acknowledged that Valbuena is a human being, subject to fatigue, especially with the demanding schedule of playing matches every three days. Despite this, Romao emphasized Valbuena’s importance to Olympique de Marseille.
The team, led by coach Elie Baup, faces the challenge of regaining momentum, with no respite in their schedule. Marseille will have to bounce back in their upcoming match against Saint-Etienne to return to winning ways.
