Dembele warns PSG to be ready to suffer in Bayern second leg

Ousmane Dembele has reflected on Paris Saint-Germain’s breathless 5-4 home win over Bayern Munich and insists the decisive work is still to come in the Champions League semi-final.

The forward praised the spectacle both sides produced and underlined how fine the margins are at this stage of the competition.

“Both teams put on an impressive display. Two sides focused on attacking and winning – whether at home or away. It was a very good match, and we’re obviously delighted to have won it,” Dembele said, noting that revenge for a group-stage defeat added extra motivation. He stressed that staying calm and focused on the “small details” was crucial in such a chaotic game.

Dembele admitted PSG could have managed the match better at 5-2 but pointed out that Bayern are always capable of coming back. He made it clear that PSG will not abandon their attacking philosophy, even in Munich.

“In the Champions League semi-finals, you have to be prepared to suffer, and that is exactly what we will be preparing for ahead of the second leg,” he concluded. The return match is set for 6 May at the Allianz Arena, where a place in the final will be on the line.
