Arsenal monitor rising star Eli Junior Kroupi

Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi after an impressive breakthrough season in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a strong first campaign in England’s top flight, scoring 11 goals and quickly marking himself out as one of the most exciting young attackers in the division.

Kroupi has particularly caught the attention of Mikel Arteta and his staff by scoring both home and away against the Gunners this season, performances that underlined his composure and instinct in front of goal.

Bournemouth only signed him from French side Lorient for around £10 million, and his rapid development means they are in a strong position heading into the summer. With no release clause in his contract, the Cherries can afford to be patient and are under no obligation to sell so soon after his arrival.

Arsenal are not alone in their admiration, though. Both Manchester United and Manchester City are also reported to be tracking the France Under-21 international, setting up a potential transfer battle if Bournemouth ever decide to cash in on their talented young forward.
