Martial Godo attracts strong transfer interest after standout season

RC Strasbourg have placed a significant valuation on Ivorian winger Martial Godo as interest intensifies from clubs across Europe following his standout campaign.

The 21-year-old has emerged as one of the most impressive performers for the French side this season, registering 14 goals and six assists in 39 appearances across all competitions.

His contributions have not only boosted Strasbourg’s attacking output but also elevated his profile in the transfer market.

Godo’s form has drawn attention from a number of clubs, particularly in England, where Aston Villa, Leeds United, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Chelsea are all reported to be monitoring his progress.

Turkish side Beşiktaş have also been linked with the player, underlining the growing competition for his signature.

Despite the widespread interest, Strasbourg are in no rush to part ways with the winger. The club, who signed him from Fulham last summer for €7 million, are said to be demanding between €45 million and €50 million to consider a sale.

The reported valuation reflects both his rapid development and the importance he now holds within the squad.

The London-born forward remains under contract with Strasbourg until June 2030, placing the French club in a strong negotiating position.

His market value, currently estimated at €18 million, has risen sharply over the course of the season, further reinforcing the club’s stance on his price.

Former professional Marc Zoro has also weighed in on Godo’s rise, highlighting the player’s potential and the trajectory of his career.

Meanwhile, discussions around the 2026 Marc-Vivien Foé Prize have added to the growing recognition of the winger, with former Ivory Coast international Gervinho reportedly expressing confidence in his future prospects.

Attention will now turn to whether any of the interested clubs will formalise their pursuit with a concrete offer.

With demand increasing and Strasbourg holding firm on their valuation, the coming transfer window could prove decisive in shaping the next phase of Martial Godo’s career.
