Santos Muntubile, the coach of the local Leopards (DR Congo national football team), has called on the Congolese government, particularly Prime Minister Matata Ponyo, to provide better financial assistance for the team’s preparation for the third edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) taking place in South Africa from January 11 to February 1, 2014. The coach believes that with adequate support, the team can achieve success in the tournament. DR Congo is placed in Group D alongside Mauritania, Gabon, and Burundi. Muntubile emphasized the need for a strong preparation to face competitive opponents.
