Camavinga faces uncertain Real Madrid future after underwhelming season
Real Madrid reportedly viewed this season as a decisive test for Eduardo Camavinga, but the midfielder is believed to have fallen short of expectations set by the club’s hierarchy.
According to Ruben Martín of AS, the 23-year-old has struggled to deliver consistent, top-level performances, raising fresh doubts about his long-term role at the Bernabeu.
As a result, Madrid are now open to selling Camavinga in the summer if a suitable offer arrives, even though the player still dreams of succeeding at the club. The situation is complicated further by plans to reinforce the midfield with a major signing, which would increase competition for places and potentially push him down the pecking order.
On paper, Camavinga’s numbers this La Liga campaign are solid: 23 appearances, including 14 starts, 1 goal, over 8 defensive actions per game, and an impressive 92% pass accuracy. However, those statistics have not been enough to fully convince decision-makers that he can be a reliable cornerstone in the next cycle of Madrid’s midfield, leaving his future very much in the balance heading into the transfer window.
