Wydad Casablanca suffers another win

Maghreb Fez secured a dramatic 1-0 win over Wydad Casablanca on Sunday evening in a tightly contested clash in the Botola Pro 1.

The match appeared destined for a stalemate as both sides struggled to break the deadlock for much of the encounter.

However, the decisive moment arrived in the 80th minute when Idriss El Jebli produced a moment of brilliance, scoring a stunning rabona-style goal that ultimately separated the two teams.

Wydad pushed for a late equaliser but were unable to find a way back, allowing Maghreb Fez to claim all three points in emphatic fashion.

The victory sees Maghreb Fez climb temporarily to the top of the league standings with 31 points, while Wydad Casablanca remain on 30 points, sitting in fourth position.

It was another frustrating outing for Wydad head coach Patrice Carteron, who is still searching for his first win since taking charge. The Frenchman has now overseen three matches, suffering defeats to Fath Union Sport and Maghreb Fez, alongside a draw against Difaa El Jadida.
