Yan Diomandé open to RB Leipzig stay amid interest from top clubs
Ivorian winger Yan Diomandé is reportedly open to remaining at RB Leipzig for another season, despite attracting attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
The 19-year-old has impressed in the Bundesliga, prompting his current side to act decisively to secure his services.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, RB Leipzig is holding intensive talks with Diomandé’s representatives to negotiate an early contract extension.
Contract Extension on the Table
Leipzig’s strategy is to offer the young midfielder a significantly higher salary and a longer contract, providing both financial security for the player and stability for the club.
Sources suggest the club is also considering including a release clause, a model that has previously worked well for Red Bull teams with players such as Christopher Nkunku and Dani Olmo.
The clause would allow Diomandé to leave in the summer of 2027 if a suitable offer arrives, while guaranteeing Leipzig a strong transfer fee in return.
Future Still Up in the Air
Diomandé has not made a final decision yet. Romano reports that the teenager will weigh Leipzig’s offer against potential proposals from other top European clubs in the coming weeks before committing to his next move.
