Seko Fofana celebrating goal for Porto

Ivory Coast midfielder Seko Fofana continued his promising start at FC Porto by scoring his third league goal in seven appearances, helping his side secure a 2-2 draw with Famalicão on matchday 28 of the Portuguese league.

Fofana, who joined Porto on loan from Rennes in February, came on as a substitute in the 44th minute and immediately made an impact.

In the first minute of stoppage time (90’+1), he scored to give the Dragons a 2-1 lead, putting his team on the brink of victory.

However, Famalicão equalised in the ninth minute of added time (90’+9), leaving the match drawn.

This marked Fofana’s second consecutive goal in the league, following his strike against Braga, and highlighted his rapid adaptation to Portuguese football.

The midfielder has impressed not only with his goal-scoring ability but also with his physical presence, creativity, and capacity to drive Porto’s play from midfield.

Beyond his goals, Fofana has become a key figure in Porto’s engine room, frequently breaking through opposition lines and generating chances for teammates.

His combination of power, technique, and tactical awareness has allowed him to quickly establish himself as a central figure despite his recent arrival.

Porto will hope that Fofana’s momentum continues to influence their league campaign as the season progresses.

His performances suggest he could play a decisive role in both domestic and European competitions if he maintains his current form.
