Eric Abidal, the captain of AS Monaco, expressed his thoughts ahead of their upcoming match against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on the 6th day of the French Ligue 1. Abidal emphasized the importance of going into the match with a liberated mindset, considering Monaco’s current position as leaders in the league.

Abidal mentioned that Monaco will approach the game with the objective of winning, acknowledging that even if they face a bad result, it won’t be a crisis. He highlighted the lower pressure on Monaco, especially as they are playing away at the Parc des Princes, and emphasized their capability to make a significant impact.

Despite acknowledging his personal fatigue, both mentally and physically, due to traveling, Abidal emphasized the importance of taking two days for recovery. He discussed this with the coach and fitness trainer, emphasizing the need for freshness both mentally and physically when facing a challenging opponent like PSG. Abidal acknowledged the difficulty of the match against a strong team but expressed confidence in Monaco’s abilities.
