Amsatou Fall, former technical director of Senegalese football and former national coach of the Lions, emphasized the importance of playing the national team’s matches on a field where there is a supportive audience. He expressed concern about the absence of spectators during Senegal’s last match against Uganda and suggested that playing in cities like Casa or Rabat, with a significant Senegalese community, would be better for the team. Fall acknowledged that the quality of the field in Marrakech is consistent but highlighted the role of the audience as a major asset for the team’s success at this level of competition. However, due to the suspension of the Léopold Senghor stadium, Senegal will not be able to host matches until November 30, 2013.
