Mohamed Salah to leave Liverpool as free agent this summer
Mohamed Salah is set to walk away from Liverpool as a free agent at the end of the 2025–26 season, bringing one of the club’s greatest modern eras to a close.
According to The Times’ Paul Joyce, the 33-year-old has reached an agreement with the club to depart next summer, a year before his contract was due to expire.
Liverpool and Salah have now publicly confirmed their decision to part ways at the end of the campaign, allowing the winger full freedom to choose his next destination. That opens the door for another major chapter in his career, with Saudi Pro League sides expected to revive the huge interest they showed in previous transfer windows.
While no next club has been decided, Salah’s status as one of the game’s elite attackers means he will have no shortage of options once the season ends.
For Liverpool supporters, it marks the beginning of a long goodbye, with the Anfield crowd now knowing this will be their final year watching him in red before he moves on as a free agent.
