Despite the recent dismissal of Hubert Velud from the coaching position, Entente Sétif is determined to secure three points in their upcoming match against TP Mazembé on the 5th day of Group B in the Confederation Cup. Captain Amir Karoui expressed confidence in the team’s technical abilities to counter TP Mazembé, despite the coaching change.
“We have technical arguments to counter this Congolese team at home. Players at our level are ready to overcome the problem linked to the change of coach, TP Mazembe also changed coach this season,” stated Karoui in an interview.
However, TP Mazembé is facing challenges with the absence of Malian players Traore and Bagayoko, who are still away due to national team commitments. Coach Patrice Carteron expressed frustration with the delay in their return, citing the Malian federation’s failure to respect the 48-hour deadline for releasing players to their clubs.
