PSG secured a provisional lead in the Ligue 1 Championship with a 2-0 away victory against Bordeaux at the Chaban-Delmas stadium. Blaise Matuidi and Lucas Moura scored the two goals for PSG.
Laurent Blanc, the former Bordeaux player and current PSG coach, expressed his joy after the match. He highlighted the team’s improved understanding and adherence to the playing style they aim to implement.
Blanc said, “The team is starting to understand what we want to produce and are adhering to what we are proposing; this evening’s match, without preparation, is proof of that. Bordeaux struggled offensively, but we were very good in technical control of the ball. We’ve been working on this since July 1st, and we’re pushing it a lot, and it was in this match that it showed best. Even if we were gaining strength physically, after a very tough preparation for the Champions League and consequently difficult first matches, I was hopeful of finding the technical mastery that we demonstrated this evening.”
