Ghana’s Black Stars land $5 million sponsorship ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup

Ghana’s Black Stars have secured a major $5 million sponsorship deal in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to a source, Ghanaian mining firm Engineers & Planners has paid the huge amount to become the headline sponsor of Ghana’s World Cup fundraising campaign.

As the headline sponsor, Engineers & Planners will provide vital support to the Black Stars’ World Cup campaign, helping the team in various areas for the global tournament.

Ghana has been drawn in Group L, where they will face tough competition from Panama, England, and Croatia. To fine-tune their squad ahead of the World Cup, the Black Stars are scheduled to play two key international friendlies against Austria national team on March 27 and Germany national team on March 30.

The sponsorship deal is expected to provide a substantial boost to the team’s preparations and increase confidence as Ghana looks to make a strong impact at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With the World Cup fast approaching, other firms are expected to come on board to sponsor and support the Black Stars.
