Promotion Hopes
Seven teams are competing for the promotion stage and avoiding relegation.
The league requires five teams for the promotion stage and two for the relegation avoidance stage.
Taking into account Tanta’s demotion to the ninth position with 26 points after the deduction of points against Laveena due to an erroneous participation by Karim Osama, the situation unfolds as follows:
Starting with Petro Assiout led by Ahmed Abdel-Maguid, currently in sixth place with 28 points, they will face their competitor Al-Sheikh Hadid.
A win or draw guarantees their stay, while a loss would require Abu Qir to beat Rayya and Brooqsi to stumble against Aswan, or for Tanta to falter against Al-Nasr Lel Taa’deen.
On the other hand, Brooqsi, led by Mohamed Haleem, sitting in seventh place with 27 points, will face Abu Qir for Fertilizers.
A win secures their stay without considering other results. In the case of a draw, the outcome will depend on the results of other matches.
If Al-Qanah defeats Al-Nasr Lel Taa’deen, and Petro Assiout loses to Al-Sheikh Hadid, while Brooqsi wins, the tiebreaker will be based on their direct confrontations.
Al-Sheikh Hadid, led by Amir Azmi Mujahid, in eighth place with 26 points, will face Petro Assiout.
A win ensures their survival without considering other results. In the case of a draw, they would need Al-Qanah to draw or lose to secure their position.
If they lose, they would need Al-Qanah to lose, and Tanta to either draw or lose.
In ninth place, Tanta, led by Amr Anwar, with 26 points, will face Misr Lel Makkasa.
A victory guarantees their stay, given their superior head-to-head record against Brooqsi.
A draw would require a draw or loss for Brooqsi against Aswan, coupled with Al-Qanah’s loss to Al-Sheikh Hadid.
If they lose, they would need Al-Qanah to lose and Petro Assiout to lose or draw.
Finally, in tenth place, Brooqsi, led by Mohamed Hamed, with 26 points, a win secures their spot in the promotion stage regardless of other results.
In case of a draw, two other teams need to draw or lose, with the condition that Al-Qanah loses to Al-Sheikh Hadid.
If they lose, they would need Al-Qanah to lose as well.
Eleventh Place Battle
Al-Qanah, with 25 points, will face Al-Nasr Lel Taa’deen.
A win would take them to 28 points, securing their stay, especially since their matches against Abu Qir and Wadi Degla could impact their standing positively.
Twelfth Place Challenge
Abu Qir for Fertilizers, with 24 points, faces Rayya. They need a win to surpass Rayya and will rely on other results for their survival.
If four teams finish with 27 points—Rayya, Abu Qir, Tanta, and Brooqsi—the direct confrontations would determine the standings:
– Tanta 4-0 Brooqsi
– Abu Qir for Fertilizers 2-1 Tanta
– Abu Qir for Fertilizers 1-1 Brooqsi
– Tanta 1-0 Rayya
– Brooqsi 2-1 Rayya
– Abu Qir vs. Rayya (considering Abu Qir’s victory)
The standings would then be: Abu Qir 7 points, Tanta 4 points, Brooqsi 3 points, and Rayya with no points.
If five teams finish with 27 points—Rayya, Abu Qir, Tanta, Al-Qanah, and Brooqsi—the standings would be: Abu Qir 13 points, Tanta 10 points, Brooqsi 4 points, Al-Qanah 3 points, and Rayya with 1 point.
In accordance with the regulations of the union:
– In the case of a tie in points between two teams, direct confrontations would be considered, with no consideration for away goals.
– If teams are still tied in wins or draws, goal difference in direct confrontations would be considered.
– If still tied, overall goal difference would be considered.
– If the tie persists, the team with the most goals scored would be considered.
– If needed, a playoff match would be scheduled.
At the end of the competition, in case of ties, a table would be created based on direct confrontations between the teams.
