Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola is facing a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a right ankle injury in the Champions League defeat to Chelsea.

The 23-year-old was forced off during the 3–0 loss at Stamford Bridge in the Round of 16, adding frustration to an already difficult night for the French champions.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, citing leading French outlets, medical tests have revealed ligament damage in Barcola’s ankle. He is expected to miss several weeks of action, with the exact length of his recovery dependent on how quickly he responds to treatment and rehabilitation.

The timing of the injury is a major blow for both club and country. PSG will be without one of their key attacking sparks during an important phase of the season, while France will also lose Barcola for their upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Colombia.

Barcola had been growing in influence under Luis Enrique, offering pace and directness on the flank. Now, PSG must adapt in his absence, while the player focuses on returning fully fit for the run-in and summer commitments.
