Ousmane Dembele declares full fitness for Chelsea second leg
Ousmane Dembele says he feels fully fit and ready to lead Paris Saint-Germain’s attack in the Champions League last-16 second leg against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next week.
The French winger was substituted around the 60th minute of the 5-2 first-leg win in Paris on March 11, sparking some concern about his physical condition.
Speaking to the media, Dembele explained that the worst is now behind him. “It’s a season with quite a few physical setbacks. Now, I feel very good, I’m at the coach’s disposal and I hope to have a great match against Chelsea. I no longer have any physical problems,” he said, underlining his confidence heading into the trip to London.
The 28-year-old trained normally with the rest of the squad on March 14 and has looked sharp in recent sessions. Coach Luis Enrique has confirmed Dembele is available and is expected to start as PSG look to protect their three-goal advantage and book a place in the quarterfinals.
