CAF Confederation Cup: Hakim Ziyech gives Wydad fans hope after stalemate with Olympique Safi

Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, star midfielder for Wydad Athletic Club, shared an encouraging message with supporters following his team’s 1-1 draw against Olympique Safi in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final.

Posting on his official Instagram story, Ziyech hinted at his participation in the upcoming return match, writing, “See you next Sunday,” to the delight of the Red Club’s fans.

Alongside his positive note, he also offered a tongue-in-cheek critique of the officiating, adding, “Note: Thank you to the referee and VAR technology.”

The two sides are set to meet next Sunday again at 8 pm at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca for the decisive second leg.

The first leg, which concluded yesterday, ended in a balanced 1-1 draw, leaving the tie finely poised ahead of the return encounter.
