AC Milan set to move for Joshua Zirkzee after struggles at Manchester United

Juventus are ready to go back in for Joshua Zirkzee, reigniting their interest in the Dutch striker after missing out on him to Manchester United.

The Bianconeri had viewed Zirkzee as a key piece of Thiago Motta’s project when he was starring at Bologna and were widely tipped to sign him once Motta made the switch to Turin.

Instead, Manchester United moved faster and took Zirkzee to Old Trafford, shelving Juve’s plans. Now, according to Tuttomercatoweb, the Italian giants are considering another attempt to land the 24-year-old as they reshape their attack for next season. Reports suggest Juventus could listen to offers for summer arrivals Jonathan David and Loïs Openda, both of whom have struggled to fully convince in their first campaign in black and white.

If at least one of those forwards is sold, Zirkzee is expected to jump to the top of their shortlist. The move may not be out of reach either: game time has been limited for Zirkzee at United, potentially opening the door for talks once the current season ends. For Juventus, it feels like unfinished business with a striker they have long admired and still see as a natural fit in Turin.
