Achraf Hakimi sends message of support to injured Morocco teammate Nayef Aguerd after surgery
Achraf Hakimi has publicly shown his support for fellow Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd following the defender’s recent surgery.
The Paris Saint-Germain F.C. star shared a message on his personal Instagram account, accompanied by a photo of Aguerd in the hospital, offering encouragement to his national team teammate during his recovery.
“Some know the great sacrifices you made to be at your high level. I am sure you will come back stronger.”
Aguerd, who plays for Olympique de Marseille, recently confirmed that he underwent surgery after dealing with persistent pain that had affected him since October. The defender explained that the discomfort had gradually become a part of his daily life before the operation finally became necessary.
The injury will keep Aguerd out of the upcoming camp of the Morocco national football team, where Morocco is scheduled to play two international friendlies later this month.
The Atlas Lions will face Ecuador on March 27 at the Metropolitano Stadium, before taking on Paraguay on March 31 in the French city of Lens.
Hakimi’s gesture highlights the strong bond between Morocco’s international players as Aguerd begins his recovery and works toward returning to action.
