CAF Champions League: AS FAR coach Alexandre Santos laments lack of fan support ahead of Pyramids clash

AS FAR coach Alexandre Santos has voiced his disappointment over the continued absence of the club’s fans as his team prepares to face Pyramids FC in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League.

Speaking ahead of Friday’s match, Santos expressed frustration that the military supporters will be missing from the stadium for the third consecutive Champions League fixture. He also highlighted that the absence of Brigadier General Rabie Harimat, a key figure for the club, adds to the team’s challenges on the pitch.

“These matches are expected to be decided by small details,” Santos explained, emphasising that the team remains focused on their style of play and what has been drilled during training sessions.

He added, “We want to show the team’s character on the field and deliver a strong performance that reflects the work we have done.”

The first leg between AS FAR and Pyramids is set to kick off at 10:00 p.m. at the Olympic Stadium.
