Following the sanctions imposed on Cape Verde and its subsequent elimination in favor of Tunisia, FIFA updated its rankings for September. Hat 1: Ivory Coast, Ghana, Algeria, Nigeria, Tunisia.
Hat 2: Egypt, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Senegal, Ethiopia.
