Chelsea prepare to sell Nicolas Jackson after Bayern loan ends
Chelsea look set to move Nicolas Jackson on this summer after Bayern Munich decided not to trigger their 65 million euro purchase option for the striker.
The Senegal international will return to Stamford Bridge once his loan in Germany ends but is expected to be placed on the transfer list immediately.
Reports from Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto say Bayern are walking away despite Jackson providing seven goals and three assists in 24 games under Vincent Kompany. Chelsea prefer a permanent sale but are open to a loan if necessary, with his 7.5 million euro annual salary and contract running until 2033 likely to make negotiations tricky.
Several major Serie A clubs are already circling. Milan, Juventus and Napoli are all understood to be keen, having followed Jackson closely since his impressive spell at Villarreal before his 32 million pound switch to Chelsea in 2023.
Jackson hit 13 goals and six assists in 37 appearances for Chelsea last season before heading to Munich. A swift exit now appears likely as the Blues seek to recoup part of their investment while Italian sides weigh up a move for the 24-year-old forward.
