Seydou Sy could soon be the name of the Senegal national team goalkeeper. The young goalkeeper’s performances at the 7th Francophonie Games wowed more than one person.
Architect of his team’s victory on Wednesday against Haiti (3-0), Seydou Sy seduced his coach Aliou Cissé who continued to praise his merits.
“He has character and that is very important for a goalkeeper. He is a natural leader. Senegal has always provided great goalkeepers. I hope he will be one of these great goalkeepers,” he said.
Alain Giresse, for his part, doubts the maturity of the young player who is currently training with AC Milan’s under-18s.
“He has quality but he is still young. We are talking about a position where maturity is required. It would still be a little complicated for him. We must let it progress and have an international dimension,” specifies the French technician on RFI.
