At the end of the 6th and final day of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, Algeria secured a 1-0 victory against Mali. The lone goal of the match came in the 51st minute courtesy of Hilal Soudani. Despite already being qualified for the play-offs, Algeria used this match as preparation for the upcoming rounds of the qualification process. The draw for the play-offs is scheduled for September 16, with Algeria placed in seeded pot 1.
