Juventus line up Brentford defender Michael Kayode for summer return to Italy
Juventus are considering a summer move for Michael Kayode as the Italian giants explore options to strengthen the right side of their defence, a development that could hand Brentford a quick financial return on the defender.
Kayode only arrived in west London in January 2025 after completing a transfer from ACF Fiorentina, but his performances in the Premier League have already attracted attention from one of Italy’s biggest clubs.
The 21-year-old, who was born in Italy but of Nigerian descent, has adapted swiftly to the demands of English football, impressing with his pace, defensive discipline and ability to contribute in advanced areas.
According to reports in Italy, Juventus view the young fullback as a potential long-term answer to their right-back position. The Turin-based side are expected to continue tracking Kayode closely for the remainder of the campaign as they assess whether to formalise their interest during the upcoming transfer window.
A move would represent a swift profit for Brentford. The club invested approximately €18 million to secure Kayode’s services from Fiorentina just over a year ago, but interest from Juventus could see his value rise significantly in a short space of time.
It has been suggested that Brentford would demand around €30 million before entertaining negotiations, a fee that would reflect the defender’s rapid development since his arrival in England.
