Marcelo, the left-back for Real Madrid, sustained an injury during the friendly match between Brazil and Australia (6-0). He was replaced at halftime and has been diagnosed with a torn hamstring in his left leg. As a result, Marcelo is set to miss the next three matches for Real Madrid, including La Liga fixtures against Villareal and Getafe, as well as the UEFA Champions League clash against Galatasaray in Turkey on September 17.
