Franco-Cameroonian star Kylian Mbappé finally earns driver’s license

France international of Cameroonian descent Kylian Mbappe has finally secured his driver’s license at age 27.

Mbappé was spotted navigating a modest training car through the streets of Alcorcón, south of Madrid, marking his first real driving experience after completing official driving courses.

Despite owning a £2 million collection of supercars, the French superstar had long relied on professional drivers to chauffeur him between training sessions and stadiums, as he was previously unable to drive himself. Social media quickly buzzed with images of Mbappé behind the wheel — in a modest vehicle worth far less than the tires on his new BMW i7.

An interesting twist to the story involves his driving instructor, reportedly a fan of Real Madrid’s city rival, Atletico Madrid. Despite his allegiance, he praised Mbappé’s humility and good character, telling The Sun: “I am a huge Atletico fan, but Kylian was very kind and friendly.”

In 2023, Mbappé had openly stated that obtaining a driver’s license was not a priority amid his intense football schedule. However, following his high-profile move to Real Madrid, he finally completed the process, adding another personal achievement to an already remarkable career.

Now, off the pitch, Mbappé can enjoy a newfound independence — driving himself through Madrid streets, much to the delight of fans who love seeing the superstar embrace life’s simple milestones.
