Kylian Mbappe frustrated by Real Madrid medical handling of knee problem

Kylian Mbappe is reportedly growing increasingly frustrated with Real Madrid’s medical team over how they have managed his recurring knee issues since December.

The French forward has suffered several setbacks with the same problem, with the latest flare-up ruling him out until just before next week’s Champions League Round of 16 tie against Manchester City.

According to reports, Mbappe has been disappointed by the lack of a lasting solution and recently travelled back to France to seek the opinion of specialist doctors on his condition.

After aggravating the injury again, he has chosen not to take any unnecessary risks in training, prioritising a full recovery so he can be at his best for the decisive stage of the season.

Real Madrid are hopeful their in-form star will be ready in time for the crucial clash with Manchester City, knowing his presence could be vital to their European ambitions. The club and player now face a delicate balance between short-term needs and protecting his long-term fitness.
