He stated, “Franck Ribéry has been at the top for 4 years, he deserves the Golden Ball.” Weah emphasized that scoring goals alone should not be the sole criterion for winning the Ballon d’Or, countering the common perception that Ronaldo and Messi are the favorites due to their goal-scoring prowess.
