Cameroon secured the final spot in the play-offs of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers with their narrow victory over the Knights of the Mediterranean this Sunday. Joining the ranks of the nine other qualified nations, including Cape Verde (as per Saturday’s results), the Indomitable Lions are set to compete in the last round of the Africa zone for the Brazilian World Cup.
The five African representatives for the 2014 World Cup will be determined after the two-legged matches scheduled for October 11-15 and November 15-19, 2013. The matchups for the play-offs will be decided following a draw.
The ten qualified teams are Ghana, Algeria, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Cape Verde, and Cameroon.
For the play-offs, the teams have been divided into two hats:
Hat A: Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, and Nigeria.
Hat B: Ethiopia, Egypt, Burkina Faso, Senegal, and Cameroon.
