Genoa move to secure Caleb Ekuban with new long-term deal
Genoa have moved to secure the future of Ghanaian forward Caleb Ekuban, offering the 31-year-old a new contract running until 30 June 2028.
According to respected transfer journalist Nicolo Schira, the club has already tabled the proposal as they look to keep one of their most hard-working attackers for the long term.
Ekuban’s current deal expires at the end of this June, and Genoa are keen not to lose him on a free after his steady contribution in recent seasons. This campaign, he has featured in 20 Serie A matches, scoring 2 goals and providing several assists, often doing the unselfish work that allows others around him to shine.
For Genoa’s management, tying down Ekuban is about more than just numbers. They see him as an experienced presence in the dressing room and a reliable option in attack who understands the club’s ambitions and playing style.
Securing his signature would offer continuity and stability in the forward line as Genoa look to strengthen their position in the Italian top flight over the next few years.
