Faouzi Ghoulam is set to reunite with the AS Saint Etienne group. After an unsuccessful attempt to leave the club during the transfer window, the Algerian international, who had been away from the first team, will return to Christophe Galtier’s group on Monday.
AS Saint-Etienne announced in a press release on its official website that Ghoulam, who is expected to play with the reserve team on Saturday, has apologized and will rejoin the main group on Monday.
“The player wanted to apologize,” stated the club in the press release. Ghoulam expressed sincere regrets about his behavior and committed to prioritizing the values of ASSE. The defender also had a meeting with coach Christophe Galtier, confirming his desire to “give everything for his training club.”
Additionally, it was agreed that the official agent of the player would be the sole contact for the ASSE leadership from now on.
Ghoulam, 22, is scheduled to play a CFA2 match on Saturday with the Saint-Etienne reserve team against Louhans-Cuiseaux.
