Baghdad Bounedjah: Will the Algerian join Besiktas next summer?

Baghdad Bounedjah, the 28-year-old Algerian striker, could be on the verge of his first European adventure, though he has spent most of his career in Africa and the Gulf. According to Fotomac, Beşiktaş is reportedly interested in signing him next summer.

The Istanbul club, struggling this season in 7th place and facing offensive challenges, is looking to strengthen its attack. Bounedjah is said to be the top target for Sergen Yalçın to address these issues.

Despite interest from multiple clubs following his triumph at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Bounedjah has so far chosen continuity by remaining with Al Sadd, which he joined in 2015 from Étoile Sportive du Sahel. Whether this summer will mark his first move to Europe remains to be seen.
