Champions League: Free entry for Mazembe fans against Raja

TP Mazembe received a warm welcome upon arriving in Casablanca ahead of the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Raja Casablanca. The Congolese club has been in Morocco for two days preparing for the crucial clash between the Eagles and the Ravens, scheduled for this Friday at 7 pm GMT.

Raja Casablanca announced that entry to the Mohamed V Stadium would be free for TP Mazembe supporters, who will only need to present their passports at the gates. The gesture is especially appreciated by the many Congolese students residing in Morocco, offering them an opportunity to support their team without restriction.

This practice is not new in Moroccan football. In recent months, several Moroccan clubs have extended free entry to visiting supporters during interclub competitions. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has also participated in this tradition, previously allowing Libyan fans to attend a match at no cost.

The welcoming atmosphere in Casablanca reflects both the growing hospitality of Moroccan clubs and the significance of continental competitions like the CAF Champions League, fostering fan engagement and support for visiting teams.
